Summary:

• I IV and V - can also be called Tonic, Pre-Dominant, Dominant, Tonic.
• Tonal music of many genres (classical, rock, blues, jazz, etc.) revolves around these chords.


Action Points:

1. Record the I IV V I exercises. Choose 1 major key and 1 minor key. Say the inversions as you play.
2, Identify the primary chords in selected passages.
3. Identify the primary chords in pieces you're playing. Does this information change how you see, understand, hear, or play the music?
